Rivet uses automated generation to turn your build brief into plans, cut lists, materials lists, technical drawings and assembly walkthroughs. This page explains what that output is — and is not.
1. General reference, not certified advice
Everything Rivet generates is general planning guidance and creative suggestion. It is not certified engineering, structural, electrical, gas, plumbing or building-control advice, and it is not a guarantee of construction safety, fitness or outcome.
2. Output can be wrong
AI-generated sizes, loads, quantities, cut lists and steps may contain errors. You must independently verify every measurement, load and material rating against your own space and materials before you cut or build. Treat quantities as estimates and confirm them before purchasing.
3. When you must consult a professional
Structural, load-bearing, foundation, electrical, gas, plumbing, working-at-height and heavy-machinery work must be designed and carried out by a suitably qualified professional, and must comply with your local building regulations and permits. Rivet does not replace a licensed engineer, electrician, gas-safe or building-control professional.
4. Your responsibility
You are responsible for the safe use of tools and materials, for following manufacturer instructions and safety standards, and for ensuring your build is lawful and safe. DIY building carries inherent risk, which you accept when you use the service.
5. No physical supply
Materials and hardware lists are category references only. Rivet does not sell, source or ship any physical materials, hardware or tools.
6. Your data is not used to train models
Your build inputs, uploads and generated results are processed only to produce your own output. We do not use them to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy.
