These Terms govern your use of the Rivet service operated by NORTH EAST OFFSHORE SERVICES LTD(“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Build Console you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Rivet is an online-only digital subscription that turns a build brief into a planning output: cut lists, materials and hardware lists, tool lists, step-by-step sequences, technical drawings and assembly walkthroughs. Rivet provides general DIY planning guidance only. It is not a certified engineering, structural, electrical, gas, plumbing or building-control service, and its outputs are references, not construction or safety approvals.
2. No physical sales
We do not sell, supply, source or ship any physical materials, hardware or tools. Materials and hardware lists are category references to help you plan; they are not purchase links, brokerage or procurement.
3. Safety & professional consultation
Structural, load-bearing, electrical, gas, plumbing, foundation, working-at-height and heavy-machinery work must be carried out by a suitably qualified professional and must comply with your local building regulations and permits. Rivet does not replace a licensed engineer, electrician, gas-safe or building-control professional. You are responsible for confirming that any build is lawful and safe in your location before you proceed.
4. Assumption of risk
DIY building and the use of tools carry inherent risk. You accept that risk. You must use tools, power tools and materials strictly in accordance with the manufacturer instructions and applicable safety standards. Generated sizes, loads and quantities may be wrong; you must verify your own measurements and material ratings before cutting or building.
5. Eligibility and minors
You must be at least 13 to use Rivet. Users aged 13–17 must have verifiable parental or guardian consent. Content involving power tools or hazardous work requires adult supervision. The service is intended for personal, non-professional DIY planning.
6. Subscriptions, billing and allowances
- Plans are pure subscriptions billed in USD through Stripe. There are no credits, top-ups or stored balances.
- Your monthly project allowance resets each billing cycle and does not roll over.
- Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the current period.
- Prices and plan features may change; we will give notice of material changes before your next renewal.
7. Acceptable use
You agree to use the service lawfully and in line with our Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, attempt to resell outputs as certified professional advice, or generate unsafe or unlawful content.
8. Your content and licence
You keep ownership of the inputs and files you provide. You grant us a limited licence to process them to generate your results, as described in our Content License. We do not use your inputs to train AI models.
9. Intellectual property
The Rivet platform, brand and software are owned by NORTH EAST OFFSHORE SERVICES LTD. You may use generated outputs for your own personal and commercial builds; you may not resell the service itself or present outputs as certified engineering approvals.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular build, or results. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NORTH EAST OFFSHORE SERVICES LTD is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your reliance on generated guidance, from build outcomes, or from work that should have been done by a qualified professional. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Cancellation and termination
You can cancel any time from your account or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, and disputes are subject to its courts, without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
